HiYa, I’m Steve Purnell (also know as ‘Bruce’).
I have always had a keen interest in ‘Pop Music’, discos and ‘D.J.ing’. From my late teen years I have had disco equipment and frequently played on my twin decks & mixer in my bedroom and house parties.
I am, primarily, a landscape gardener (Click Here To See My Landscaping Website) I have been so from the age of 16. I have a Diploma in Landscape Technology which I obtained at Pershore College Of Horticulture From 1989-1992. I had a super time whilst there and I was the resident D.J. playing my music and filling the dance floor almost every Thursday night, and special events. It is there where my nickname was prefixed making me very well known,within the college as ‘DJ Bruce’
I last D.J.’d at the college after the student facilities were re-vamped which was about 3-4 years after I left. I was invited back to play for the Grand Opening of the new facilities.
I have occasionally gigged over the years since and as now with family, I have not D.J.’d as much. But I have kept my headphones & mic warm as I have D.J.’d for select parties and events like HHHO at Morton Stanley Park Redditch.
Recently I got the bug again. I openly admit that due to the recessions and the BAD weather, landscaping has not been the best trade to be in. So I have made myself more that ready to ‘ROCK A PARTY!’ Good Times Ahead . . .
